Save swimming is possible there also for kids and elder people. Which is not everywhere possible in Sri Lanka due to dangerous currents.
Many nice videos are provided by YouTube from the bay. Dickwella Beach is also around the corner and for snorkeling and diving activities Nilwella Beach is really excellent only few minutes further east. Land in Hiriketiya close to the beach is completely sold off that`s why prices are high!
